We are back with the NFL edition of CLE’s totals. We are coming off a tough loss with the Bills team total over coming as an under last week. Like a goldfish, we forget about it and move on. This week we are heading out to Glendale, Arizona as the Cardinals host the Seahawks.
The Cardinals come into this game as one of the more disappointing teams this season, holding a 3-5 record, currently in last place the NFC West. The Seahawks, on the other hand, are one of the biggest surprises this season. They are currently 5-3 and siting in first place in the NFC West after an impressive 27-13 win over the red-hot Giants.
Despite their 34-26 loss in Minnesota last week, the Cardinals offense has looked completely different the last two weeks with Deandre Hopkins back from suspension. In those two games, Arizona’s offense has averaged 34 points compared to the 19 points per game they were averaging in the first six games without him. The Seahawks offense has been great this season, ranking 4th in the NFL in points per game with 26.3 and top 12 in the league in yards per game averaging 352.2 yards. Both teams have struggled defensively though. They rank in the bottom 12 in the league in yards given up (Seahawks 26th, Cardinals 20th) and rank in the bottom 7 in the NFL in points given up per game (Cardinals 30th, Seahawks 25th). This is their second matchup this season and I expect it to be the total opposite of the first one (19-9 Week 6 final). The addition of Hopkins has sparked this Cardinals offense and both defenses are inept. I expect this total to sail over the current number.
