Eagles at Giants / Eagles -3
The Philadelphia Eagles should always be considered as a team that gets healthier as the weeks go by. Or at least that's how it has been in recent NFL memory. The Eagles were plagued by the injury bug early in the season, and it’s still a risk to bet an early line on them, but they have key guys now coming back in droves on both sides of the football. I expect Philly to look very healthy for this Week 10 game with them having a bye week in Week 9. The Eagles have guys out right now that move the needle in the betting market, but I expect them coming off the bye week with the most healthy looking team they've had all season. It’s a must-win for Philly until they get some type of separation in the NFC East race for the playoffs, and this is a great spot to steal value. This line only climbs if the New York Giants suffer a major injury or blowout during their game against Washington. Also, the Giants are heading into their bye after Week 9 and their season could have a fork stuck in it by halftime if things get ugly.
Chargers at Dolphins / Dolphins -2
This line represents a tale of two teams without playing a game in Week 9 yet. Justin Herbert can have a monster game at home in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders' terrible pass defense, and all the while Tua hits the road against a decent Arizona Cardinals secondary. The odds of both quarterbacks flipping the current narrative is going to be hard before heading into Week 10, and in what reality would the Miami Dolphins be a favorite at home if they lose and the Los Angeles Chargers win? I don't think any at all, which is why the dog maintains the most value in this spot when it comes to this early market line.
49ers at Saints / Saints -7
San Francisco's season hangs in the balance heading into this game. As of now, the 49ers season looks to be doomed. They've already lost a ton of players on both sides of the ball, sure, but to lose your starting quarterback and your top tight end? Those were the death blows. Kyle Shanahan & Co are coming off a blowout loss against Green Bay on Thursday and now they head into the bye after this Week 10 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The 49ers might be thinking exit stage left at that point, while the Saints, on the other hand, are thinking playoffs and will be in a great spot in Week 10. Look for the oddsmakers to adjust this line on game day, pushing all the potential teaser bettors to lay -1.5 instead of PK. Therefore, this line might close -8.5 or -9 if the Saints lose on the road - but look good doing so - to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This will be a huge game for the NFC playoff chase, and the oddsmakers know it.
