NFL Week 3 was full of surprises as big underdogs of 5.5 or more points are 14-2 ATS and 10-5 SU.
We also saw the Rams complete a comeback of 14 points to win outright as 6-point underdogs, and the Vikings made a big statement in their blowout win over the Texans. Plus, Week 3 ended with a Monday Night Football doubleheader with Josh Allen claiming the early lead for MVP (+200) as he led the Bills to a blowout win over the Jaguars, and the 2nd overall pick Jayden Daniels had a coming out party on the road against the Bengals with a rookie quarterback record 91% completion as a 7 point underdog as he takes the lead for offensive rookie of the year (+150).
Here are my updated rankings headed into Week 4 that are based on point differential and strength of schedule. My dominator ratings to the right shouldn't be used to create spreads/lines — you can get my projected lines in my weekly NFL betting matchups column — but should instead be viewed as a way to capture how well a team is or isn't playing in the moment in regards to having a small 2024 sample.
